It looks like we’re nearing in seeing the third iteration to LG’s underrated V-series smartphone. In the distributed press invite, an event that they’ll be holding on August 31st is expected to be for the LG V30.
The gathering which is happening the day before IFA in Berlin starts, is shaping up to be the official announcement for the much anticipated LG V30. Leading to these expectations are the numerous leaks, rumors, and talks about the said handset. More than that, the invitation also shows a self-evident “V” graphic, which clearly suggests that it is indeed for the V30.

Both the earlier V10 and V20‘s staple highligh is the secondary screen on top. Other than its novelty features, it gives the user an extra display for displaying notifications and quick controls. All these necessary functions without interrupting the main display.
But on the V30, it looks like LG will be implementing a completely new secondary display. In a leaked render showed by Evan Blass, the V30 can possibly have a slide-up screen. The image shows a device that looks like a Blackberry Priv — only this time, sliding up reveals an extra display instead of a keyboard.

Reports also suggest that LG will finally use an OLED panel in lieu of LED for the next V-series smartphone. But rumors will remain as rumors until we hear the official word from LG.
Neither of the earlier versions garnered the attention of the main audience. However, tech reviewers and enthusiasts praised its overall offerings. The sleek and sturdy build, good battery longevity, and amazing overall performance. We really look forward on what the Korean tech company has in store for us for the LG V30.
