Months after the PlayStation 5 Slim has come out, a new report suggests that the PS5 Pro series is just on the horizon and might arrive right in time for the holiday season.

The report comes just days after Sony claims that the PS5 is entering “The Latter Stage of Its Life Cycle.” We’ve been hearing a lot of rumors about the upcoming PS5 Pro immediately after the PS5 Slim came out. Now, YouTuber Moore’s Law is Dead, a prominent channel that shares hardware leaks, claims to have information on the next PlayStation release.

As per the YouTuber, the Pro models will also come in twos just like the initial models. So, we can expect a PS5 Pro with a disk drive and one that doesn’t, which shall also be called the PS5 Pro Digital Edition.

It is said that the Digital Edition will retail for USD499 (~Php27,900), which is USD50 more than the PS5 Slim. Price for the disk drive version is unknown.

For the hardware, the PS5 Pro is rumored to have a 4nm APU, which is better than the 6nm chip powering the Slim. This translates to higher clock speed but with the same 8-core CPU and AMD Zen 2 architecture. It is also expected to have an RDNA 2 GPU with 56CUs, 16GB GDDR6 VRAM, and 18Gbps clock speed with 256-bit bus for 576GBps memory bandwidth.

The PS5 Pro series is expected to arrive later this year, possibly right in time for the holiday season.
