We are a few weeks away till Razer unveils its first ever smartphone. And as the official launch date comes close, details about the highly-anticipated device is starting to run around the rumor mill.
A teaser photo released by Razer shows a gamer playing on a mystery smartphone. Patched to it are the words “Coming soon, Nov 1”. Clearly, the upcoming smartphone would be centered for the avid gamers — in line with Razer’s roots.
According to PhoneArena, it looks like the said device will indeed be targeted to gamers. The said Razer smartphone will have high-end specs all the way. And if you’ve been following the “For Gamers” company for a while, you’d know that they always go all out.
What PhoneArena spotted was a posting from the benchmarking app called GFXBench. As per the site, the Razer Smartphone will run on a Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 chipset, with a 2.4GHz octa-core processor, a whopping 8GB of RAM, and an Adreno 540 GPU.
It will also have a 5.7-inch display with a 2560 x 1440 pixel resolution. It has a 12-megapixel rear camera that can shoot in 4K, and an 8-megapixel one for selfies.
Moreover, it looks like the Razer smartphone will come with its own user-interface. As per the OS section of the list, it will run on Android 7.1.1 Nougat with Android Razer Edition noted below it.
You can also spot Razer CEO Min-Liang Tan rocking the said smartphone, peeking from his pocket on the Twitter image posted by Tom Moss, Razer’s SVP.

The expected Razer smartphone is evidently the product of Razer’s acquisition of Nextbit back in January this year. And we shall see how this product looks like on November 1 when it is announced.
