It seems like Vivo is going all in on the screen notch as a new smartphone surfaces.
The Vivo Y85 will come with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 450 chipset, 4GB of RAM, and either 32GB or 64GB of onboard storage. Its screen size is set at a huge 6.26-inch, with a taller 19:9 aspect ratio. The resolution has not been indicated, but we expect it to be Full HD+ just like most midrange handsets.
Like the upcoming Vivo V9, the Vivo Y85 will be having a dual-camera setup at the back. A combination of 13-megapixel and 2-megapixel sensors are placed on the back, while the front is dominated by a single 16-megapixel camera equipped with software features like face unlock and AR stickers.
What’s most interesting about this new smartphone is that it’s said to be running on Android 8.1 Oreo, which is one of the latest builds out today. The battery capacity is only 3,260mAh so it’s clearly not made to have the best uptime. It’s fairly slim with its 154.81 × 75.03 × 7.89 mm dimensions.
Color options are still locked-in in black and gold. The price of Vivo Y85 is reported to be around $284 (~Php14,800).
