Xiaomi smartphones have been popular for their competitive pricing, good specs, and innovative features. But one persistent issue over the years is the annoying system ads. While the company has made some strides in reducing these ads, users still find it cumbersome to completely disable them. Fortunately, this might soon change.

According to SmartPrix, along with leaker Yogesh Brar, Xiaomi is reportedly working on a single toggle that will disable system ads in HyperOS. A GIF demonstrating an “ads in system apps” toggle has been shown, which can be easily accessed through the settings menu.

If true, this new feature would significantly simplify the current process. As it stands, Xiaomi users who wish to turn off ads need to disable the MSA app and navigate to the settings menu within every major system app—a time-consuming and often frustrating task.

The report also confirmed that the new toggle is currently running on a HyperOS test build on the Xiaomi 13 Pro. However, this indicates that the feature may not be rolled out immediately to all users. Let’s hope that Xiaomi will extend this functionality to older and more affordable devices running MIUI.
