Xiaomi Redmi Pro hit the ground running last year with a number of spectacular features, the top of which is a dual camera setup, a first for Xiaomi.
It also came with an OLED display and a brushed metal premium body capped with a mid-range price tag synonymous with the Redmi series. If the Redmi Pro was supposed to be an experiment for Xiaomi, it has been a successful one as a successor to the handset has popped up online.
The device named Xiaomi Redmi Pro 2 was recently leaked on Weibo revealing some of the key specs of the device. According to the leaked screenshot, the Xiaomi Redmi Pro 2 features a metallic body with slim antenna band lines. The device is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 chip with a large 6GB RAM on the high-end version. There is a lower version with 4GB of RAM as well as 64GB of storage.

There is also a larger 4,500mAh battery with Quick Charge support, way higher than the 4,050mAh battery on the Redmi Pro. In addition, the Redmi Pro 2 packs a rear-mounted fingerprint sensor.
The listed price tags include 1599 Yuan ($230/€220) for the 4GB + 64GB version and 1799 Yuan ($260/€245) for the 6GB + 128GB version. This is lower than its predecessor which came in at 2,000 Yuan for the 4GB +128GB version.
