Following a tie-up with Cisco, NOW Corp. and NOW Telecom Co., Inc. is seeing the group transforming into a digital service and mobile telecommunications provider.
In a press release, NOW Corp. Chairman Mel V. Velarde said that, in collaboration with the US government, the group is poised to bring into the Philippines the “true 5G and National Broadband Network (NBN) technologies.”
Being a partner in the campaign, the NOW Corp. exec highlights Cisco’s role in making NOW’s network equipped with the “best of class technologies,” emphasizing also the partnered company’s leadership status in the industry.

With the alliance in place, NOW is on its way to implementing advanced 5G solutions that will cater to its commercial customers, especially in the logistics, manufacturing, port operations, business process outsourcing, and banking industries.
Cisco Service Provider Business President in Asia Pacific and Japan, Sanjay Kaul, cites the importance of the “advanced capabilities of 5G networks,” particularly “speed, low latency, reliability, and dynamic provisioning,” as businesses in the country see an ongoing shift to digitization.
Further, the Cisco executive said that, with the partnership, they can render support concerning the network’s transformation by tapping on the potential of 5G technology.
