As part of their pledge to deliver fiber-to-the-home (FFTH) to every home, Philippines’ biggest telco company brings PLDT Home Fibr in East Metro Manila.
With speeds of up to 50Mbps, PLDT claims that it will enable swift web browsing and equal download and upload speeds. And with their new Roku TVolution, the internet service provider also said that the service can provide stable video streaming at high definition quality without latency.
With this upgrade, PLDT Home Fibr now covers cities like Antipolo, Marikina, and Caloocan. Moreover, PLDT is also extending it to towns like Taytay and Cainta. This means that ultra-fast fiber connection is now available to the homeowners of Antipolo Hills Subdivision, Brgy. Kaunlaran in Caloocan, Greenwoods Executive Village in Pasig, and more.

As per PLDT, they now have delivered fiber lines to more than 3.3 million homes nationwide—an increase from the 2.8 million from the end of 2016.
With that, it is nice to see that an ISP like PLDT is really striving in providing fiber internet connection to every home. The telco is not just focusing on the metro as they’re also eyeing improvements on the internet infrastructure in different provinces.
