PLDT and Smart Communictions Inc. has revealed their new logos last night.
In line with the ‘digital pivot’, PLDT and it’s mobile subsidiary Smart rebrands themselves with a more modern look. The logos are strikingly similar to each other, with PLDT taking the red color while Smart moves to green.
The company also recently changed its name from Philippine Long Distance Telephone Company to simply “PLDT Inc.”.
A few weeks ago, PLDT and Globe bought the telco properties of San Miguel Corp. to acquire the much coveted 700MHz frequency.
The group aims to move their office to Alabang, an initiative the will cost approximately Php10 billion. PLDT Chairman Manny V. Pangilinan also said that they may possibly add an additional 4 to 5 billion pesos to the target 43 billion pesos of capital this year.
The PLDT-Smart event also featured the “Eraserheads”, who performed their hit singles in front of the huge crowd. The performed the songs Alapaap, Magasin, Huling El Bimbo, Super Proxy, and many more.
