Samsung’s Galaxy Flip line is one of the key reasons why people finally noticed foldable smartphones. Now, the device is in its fourth generation with the release of the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 4.

The Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 4 inherits the same clamshell design that its predecessor has — the same thing that made it popular in the first place. It made foldable phones less intimidating and it’s actually a lot more compact and more pocketable than regular smartphones.

Samsung also kept the popular small 1.9-inch screen at the back for notifications, smartphone controls, animations, and as a viewfinder if you plan on using the main cameras for selfies.

Speaking of which, we have two 12-megapixel cameras on the back. The main one has OIS and dual-pixel PDAF while the other has an ultra-wide lens. The screen on the inside has its own 10-megapixel sensor for selfies.

Under the hood, it is powered by none other than the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Plus Gen 1 octa-core processor, paired with 8GB of RAM and 128GB of storage. The exact configuration per market shall be announced soon.

Due to its compact size, it only managed to have a 3,700mAh battery. Still, it has both wired and wireless charging methods, as well as reverse wireless charging for your accessories.

To make it even smaller, Samsung has made the hinge slimmer, which also means that the gap between the sides of the screen is narrower when folded.

Like the Z Fold 4, it also uses Corning Gorilla Glass Victus+ for the back panel and has an Armor Aluminum frame.
