DJI has introduced a new line of AI robot vacuums in China: the DJI Romo 2 series, which includes Romo P2 models and Romo A2 models.
The new DJI Romo 2 series has smarter features for better cleaning effectiveness, advanced obstacle detection, and is now more efficient, requiring less manual maintenance. These are premium smart home products that utilize both AI and DJI’s renowned spatial sensing technology.

Speaking of that AI cleaning system, the new vacuums can acknowledge different floor conditions and cleaning scenarios to apply the right settings. Cleaning a carpet? The suction increases. It can also detect liquids for targeted mopping.
It can also detect unusual obstructions and intelligently navigate through cluttered spaces, so there’s no need to rearrange furniture before running the vacuum.

The new vacuum has a similar obstacle avoidance system to its drone technology. That includes fisheye cameras, ToF sensors, and laser radar sensors. This helps detect even smaller obstacles like pet pee pads and cables. It also knows mirrors and glass.
DJI’s new drones also have a radar-adaptive robotic arm that can swing up to 123 degrees for better edge and corner cleaning. They also have a strong 36000Pa suction system with intelligent boost mode.

Plus, it supports 8.5cm dual-layer obstacle climbing and has an anti-tangle brush for capturing hair.
As for the dock, it has high-temperature self-cleaning with multiple antibacterial features, UV sanitation, hot-air drying, and automatic sewage cleaning.

It also supports voice control and remote video communication via the DJI Home app.
If you’re wondering, the main difference between the Romo P2 and Romo A2 is the design. The Romo P2 has a cooler transparent case.

Those in China can get the DJI Romo P2 with water tank version for CNY5,999 (~Php54,300) while the version with automatic water supply and drainage system retails for CNY6,499 (~Php58,800).
The Romo A2 is available in both versions for CNY5,499 (~Php49,700) and CNY5,999 (~Php54,300), respectively.
