Xreal has introduced its new Aura Augmented Reality glasses, which run on Google’s Android XR system.
The Xreal Aura smart glasses have see-through Sony displays with 1,920×1,200 pixel resolution and 120Hz refresh rate. The view covers 70 degrees. You can see your surroundings clearly, and there is a dimming option to block out background light when needed. Users can open up to five app windows at the same time.

The main processor, a Snapdragon Reality Elite chip, is kept in a separate “compute puck” along with a 4,455 mAh battery. This makes the glasses lighter on your head. The glasses themselves have an Xreal X1S chip that handles tracking and display tasks.
Control is done mainly through hand gestures, with voice commands as an option. The device has cameras with an LED light that turns on when they are active. It also has two USB-C ports for connections.
For those who want AI, Google’s Gemini assistant is also included.

Xreal has not announced a final pricing but says it will be under $1,500 (~Php90,000). This is cheaper than Snap’s new AR glasses, which cost $2,195 (~Php133,000) and do not use Android XR.
