Huawei is scheduled to officially unveil the P40 series on March 26. The Huawei P40 series is made up of the P40, P40 Pro and P40 Premium Edition.

As expected, the rumour mill will keep buzzing until the models are finally announced. What looks like the official renders of the series have been shared online by popular tipster Evan Blass revealing the variants and available color options.

The leaked renders show the rear aspect of the Huawei P40 series, revealing it be available in three variants namely: P40, P40 Pro, and P40 Pro Premium. We can understand from the renders that the three models will have a somewhat similar design.

All three versions will feature rectangular camera modules, but the arrangement of the lenses onboard the module are different. Specifically, the Huawei P40 features a triple camera matrix design while the P40 Pro features four cameras with the same matrix design. The P40 Pro comes in blue, gray, aurora, black, and pink gold color options.

Finally, the high-end Huawei P40 Pro Premium Edition will cram five camera sensors inside the module. The Premium Edition will be available in white and black. The premium version is also rumoured to be made from ceramic while the other two models will have a glass body.

Sources say that the Huawei P40 Pro will be using five rear cameras. It is expected to utilize a dual-punch-hole design with the display providing a screen with high refresh rate. The models will be powered by a Kirin 990 chipset having NSA and SA dual-mode 5G support.

The Huawei P40 Pro Premium Edition is rumoured to have 2K resolution OLED display with 120Hz refresh rate and 518ppi pixel value. The P40 Pro camera setup is also rumoured to include a 52-megapixel Sony IMX700 sensor with 1/1.28-inch, RYYB, as well as a ​​40-megapixel Sony IMX650 lens, a telephoto lens, a periscope lens and a ToF sensor. The camera is said to support 10x lossless zoom, and has a color temperature sensor.
