The Apple Watch Series 6 have finally been made official.
As you can tell by the design, the Apple Watch Series 6 offers incremental upgrades over its predecessor. The main difference here is found on the inside as it now comes with the new Apple S6 chipset. It has a dual-core processor that’s 20% faster than the S5.
The new platform is rigged with a U1 chip that comes with Ultra-Wideband antennas to enable short-range wireless location. This has a couple of new applications, say, use your smartwatch as a smart car key.
Apple also improved the heart rate sensor, which can now measure the user’s blood oxygen saturation (SpO2). Partnered with the also-new WatchOS 7, it can calculate the user’s motion and heart data that churns out VO2 reading.
The always-on display is also much brighter, a couple of new watch faces were added, a new blue and Product Red aluminum variants, plus, new straps with a Braided Solo Loop and Solo Loop that will solely rely on sizes — no buckles or straps, so you can wear it faster.
Moreover, the Apple Watch Series 6 is still water-resistant by up to 50 meters, a battery that lasts for an entire day, Siri support, notifications, Apple Pay, and advanced fitness, activity, and sleep tracking.
