Huawei just held a big hardware event and two of the latest products introduced were the Watch GT 2 Pro ECG and Band 6 Pro.

Launched alongside the Huawei P50 series is the Huawei GT 2 Pro ECG. It’s similar to last year’s GT 2 Pro but this time, it has electrocardiogram readings that provide a look at your heart rate and rhythm to help detect possible abnormalities involving the heart.

Everything else is similar to last year’s model. There’s the premium titanium frame and a sapphite crystal-infused glass that protects the 1.39-inch AMOLED touchscreen. Standard smartwatch features like blood oxygen (SpO2) monitoring, sleep and stress measurements, and 100 workout modes are here to.

It runs on Huawei Lite OS and will be available for CNY3,088 (around Php24,000) this August 12 in China.

The Huawei Band 6 Pro has a 1.47-inch AMOLED screen, the same heart rate, blood oxygen, stress, and sleep tracking as the former sans the ECG. It also has 90 workout modes and can last for two weeks of light use.

What’s new here is the built-in temperature sensor, which is a nice inclusion especially in the era we’re currently on. The Band 6 Pro will be available in China this August 20 for CNY449 (around Php3,900). Considering Huawei Philippines’ focus on wearables, we expect both devices to arrive in the country soon, too.
