Xiaomi has launched a couple of new wearables before the holiday season. The models we’re taking a look at now are the Redmi Smart Band Pro and Watch 2 Lite.
The new Redmi Smart Band Pro looks like an overblown smart band that’s edging to be a regular smartwatch. It features a large 1.47-inch AMOLED panel, with 282 pixels per inch and a maximum brightness of 450-nits. It’s protected by 2.5D tempered glass and a thick body with polycaprolactam materials. The entire build is 5ATM water-resistant, so you can go swimming with it.

Speaking of swimming, this band can track and monitor 110 workouts. This was made possible by its built-in accelerometer, PPG heart-rate monitor, and gyroscope.
It also has a dedicated sensor for tracking SpO2 blood-oxygen saturation. Albeit, a built-in GPS for tracking outdoor runs and bike rides would have been a nice cherry on top.

The band comes with a 200mAh battery that can go up to 14 days of normal use and can be stretched to 20 days under power-saving mode. It’s juiced by a dedicated magnetic cable.

If you want a wearable with GPS and look like a normal smartwatch, then there’s the Redmi Watch 2 Lite. A cheaper version of the regular Watch 2, this one jas a 1.55-inch LCD display, 5ATM water resistance, and a 262mAh battery that can last up to 10 days under normal use, 5 days for active users, and 14 hours of continuous GPS for long rides.
The pricing and availability of both the Redmi Smart Band Pro and Watch 2 Lite are yet to be announced.
