Two new affordable wearables from Xiaomi have arrived. Meet the Xiaomi Smart Band 9 Pro and the Smart Band 9 Active.
The Xiaomi Smart Band 9 Pro is the fanciest of the series. It has the biggest display at 1.74 inches. It’s an AMOLED panel with narrow edges, a high 1200 nits of peak brightness, a smartphone-like 60Hz refresh rate, and an ambient light sensor for automatic brightness adjustment.
It also has a 2.5D cover glass and an aluminum alloy frame with three color optitons: Pink, Black, and Silver.
The band also has a dual LED-dual PD sensor for health monitoring, advanced sleep tracking, and an upgraded AFE chip for more accurate heart rate and blood oxygen measurement. It also has more than 150 work modes and GNSS positioning for tracking workout routes.
What’s more, the Band 9 Pro is 5ATM water resistant and has a battery that lasts up to 8 days under heavy use, 10 days with AOD on, and 21 days under typical use.
The Xiaomi Smart Band 9 Pro has an SRP of Php3,799 with different strap styles to choose from.
Meanwhile, the Xiaomi Smart Band 9 Active is a cheaper alternative that features a 1.47-inch display — still with a 60Hz refresh rate. It is very light at only 16.5g and comes with many strap options, including a luminous one for night workouts.
It features all-day heart rate and blood oxygen monitoring, advanced sleep quality tracking, stress and women’s health management, and 50 sports modes.
Xiaomi also highlights its 5ATM water resistance, improved chip for smoother performance, and music control, and a battery that lasts up to 18 days under normal use and 9 days with heavy use.
The Xiaomi Smart Band 9 Active retails for Php1,199 in the Philippines. It is now available on Shopee, Lazada, and TikTok Shop; and on authorized Xiaomi stores starting November 30.
