In the market for a sleek, elegant-looking, and powerful laptop? The new Acer Swift 5 might be the one for you as it finally lands in the Philippines.
The new Acer Swift 5 is powered by none other than Intel’s latest 12th-gen CPUs. You have the choice between a Core i5-1240P and Core i7-1260P variant with 8GB of LPDDR5 RAM for the base model while the top-of-the-line has twice the memory at 16GB. Both will come with 512GB NVMe M.2 SSD storage.
It then has a compact 14-inch IPS display, with a 2560 x 1600 pixel resolution, and a wide 16:10 aspect ratio for watching content. It also a touchscreen panel for easy control. Audio is handled by the dual speaker setup that is said to offer fuller and deeper bass.
Unlike other fancy laptops, the Sift 5 gets to have a full-size HDMI 2.1 port and two USB Type-A. It also has USB Type-C Thunderbolt 4 and WiFI 6E connectivity.
The machine also has a 56Wh battery and charges via a 65W PD USB Type-C adapter. Acer claims that, at full charge, it can last for up to 10 hours, while a quick half-hour top-up can already provide 4 hours’ worth of juice.
All that hardware is crammed inside an aerospace-grade aluminum chassis that’s been CNC-machined. It is only 14.92mm thick and weighs 1.2kg. It only comes in this Mist Green color with gold tint on the brushed metal sides.
The Acer Sift 5 has a starting price of Php74,999 in the Philippines. That’s for the i5/8GB/512GB variant, while the i7/16GB/512GB model is at Php86,999. It comes with a two-year warranty and Microsoft Office Home and Student 2021 when you get it at the company’s website.
