Amazon’s Fire 7 tablet is back in 2022. For the first time in the series, it features USB-C connectivity.

Designed to give Amazon users a convenient, affordable access to its myriad of services, this 12th-gen Fire 7 is powered by a MediaTek MT8168V chip that comes with the 2GHz ARM Cortex A53 quad-core processor and ARM Mali G52 graphics. The tablet comes installed with Amazon’s Android 11 fork called Fire OS 8.

The 2022 Amazon Fire 7 tablet also has a 7-inch IPS touchscreen with 1024-by-600 resolution, 2GB of RAM and 802.11n Wi-Fi. Internal storage options are 16 and 32GB, with microSD expansion up to 1TB. Battery is rated to last up to 10 hours, with a 4-hour full charging via the included USB-C power adapter.

The basic version of the Amazon Fire 7 tablet 2022 has a price tag of $59.99 (approx. ₱3,130), but it comes with lockscreen ads. For an ad-free version, you’ll need to pay $74.99 (~₱3,920) instead. There’s also a rugged “Kids” version that’s designed with a kid-proof case for $109.99 (~₱5,740).
