Google officially reveals the name of the next version of Android.
After months of relentless teasing, Google has finally decided on the name of Android 7.0. Few months ago, the company even went as far as seeking public opinion and suggestions.
Google has chosen ‘Nougat’ as the final name. They revealed it through an unwrapping video posted on Android’s official YouTube channel. Watch it below:

The Android statue shown in the video is located at the Google HQ in Mountain View, California.
Android Nougat will follow Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow once it gets released later this year. Unlike previous versions, Marshmallow will not get a proper 2.2, 4.2, 4.3 like version, instead it’ll head straight to 7.0.
