The ongoing IFA trade show in Berlin certainly has kept companies busy with new announcements of their latest gadgets. One of the more notable launches is that of the Asus MeMO Pad 7 (ME572C), a decent tablet whose design is “inspired by stylish clutch bags and wallets.”
Like the Lenovo Tab S8, the Asus MeMO Pad 7 (ME572C) is powered by a 64-bit quad-core Intel processor. This 7-inch tablet features an IPS display with WUXGA resolution, bringing the pixel density to a very high 323ppi. Asus also has made use of its TruVivid and Splendid technology to give the display better color reproduction, clarity, and brightness. Android 4.4 KitKat comes preinstalled, with the company’s Zen UI introducing several customizations.

Other specs of the Asus MeMO Pad 7 (ME572C) include PowerVR graphics, 2GB of RAM, and at least 16GB of internal storage, with external expansion available via a microSD slot. Connectivity options include Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and GPS. A 4G LTE version of the tablet is also available with the model number ME572CL. The imaging department has also received improvements over the previous MeMO Pad 7 (ME176CX): there is now a 5-megapixel shooter at the back and a 2-megapixel shooter in front.
There’s no word on Philippine availability yet, but the Asus MeMO Pad 7 (ME572C) is scheduled for release in Europe in the next few weeks, with price starting at 199 euros. It will be available in Burgundy Red, Gentle Black, and Champagne Gold.
