If you’re finding yourself a bit strapped for cash and yet craving for a good Android tablet, then consider choosing the Asus MeMO Pad 7 (ME176CX). For just Php6,995, this 7-inch slate comes packing with the hardware you could hope for considering the price.
Unveiled last month, the Asus MeMO Pad 7 (ME176CX) is a speedy tablet thanks to a 64-bit Intel chip (up from a MediaTek chip that powered the predecessor, the Memo Pad HD 7) inside its well-built, adequately appealing body. With Android 4.4 KitKat onboard, you can expect it to execute at a decent performance any app you throw at it, all the while ensuring that everything is smooth as you navigate the user interface—the company’s proprietary ZenUI.

While the camera department is nothing to brag about, the Asus MeMO Pad 7 has other worthy features. For one, most of the connectivity options are up to date. For another, there’s plenty of RAM to run multiple apps and decent space to store them. Battery life is also good enough: up to 9 hours as tested by looping a 720p video.
If you need an Asus tablet with phone functionality, however, then take a gander at the Fonepad 7 instead, which is currently selling for just Php5,995. But if your heart is really set on the Asus MeMO Pad 7 ME176CX, then you can now grab a unit at Gighertz SM North EDSA and SM Megamall. More stores will sell this Php6,995 device “in the coming weeks.”
