GriftHorse, an Android Trojan that was first spotted in November 2020, has spread over apps at Google Play and third-party stores with more than 10 million Android users have fallen victim to date, according to researchers from Zimperium Labs.
So far, Zimperium has listed up to 130 apps that come with GriftHorse. These apps look innocent enough based on their store description and required permissions, but once installed they secretly bill users who won’t notice until they see their next bill. The hidden charge can go up to $42 (approx. Php2,130) each month.

If you have the apps listed below on your Android smartphone right now, uninstall them right away. A telltale sign that you’re infected with any of these GriftHorse apps is that you’ll get a barrage of alerts that claim you’ve won a lottery prize. These alerts don’t stop until you take the offer.
