Black Shark 5, 5 Pro Global unveiled

Xiaomi’s gaming phone brand just showcased its latest flagship devices to the global stage. Check out the international versions of the Black Shark 5 and 5 Pro.

The Black Shark 5 and 5 Pro are now available in more markets. However, no word yet if the RS version will also get out of China.

That said, the international models of the vanilla and Pro models are essentially the same as the ones that came out in China back in March.

Both units boast fast 144Hz 6.67-inch AMOLED screens with 720Hz touch sampling. They also have large 4,650mAh batteries with speedy 120W fast charging that can provide a full 0% to 100% charge in only about 15 minutes.

Being gaming smartphones, the Black Shark 5 series has gaming triggers and a dual-zone pressure-sensitive screen for extra controls.

Their only key differences are the processors and cameras. The Pro model has a Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 processor and a sharp 108-megapixel main camera, while the vanilla settles for a Snapdragon 870 CPU and a 64-megapixel main camera.

Black Shark Philippines is yet to announce the official prices of the Black Shark 5 and 5 Pro in the country. However, the vanilla model is already up on the brand’s official LazMall store in Lazada for a starting price of Php28,990 for the 8GB/128GB and Php34,990 for the 12GB/256GB.
