Cherry Mobile Amber

Ever since Flare was announced, Cherry Mobile seemed to have been an unstoppable force, as it has continuously released affordable phones for the Mass. Speaking of Cherry Mobile Flare, it was the most affordable Dual-Core Android phone last November 2012 at P4,000. Less than a year later, Cherry Mobile Released a relatively late sibling with a cheaper price tag in the form of Cherry Mobile Amber.

Cherry Mobile Amber

Cherry Mobile Amber Specs

  • 3G Enabled
  • 1.2GHz Dual Core Processor
  • 4 Inch Capacitive Touch Screen
  • 5MP Main camera with Flash
  • 0.3MP Front camera
  • 4GB Internal Memory
  • FM Radio
  • Dual-Sim
  • WiFi
  • GPS
  • 3G

CM Amber’s specifications looks familiar to Cherry Mobile Flare but with a cheaper tag price. After a year, I’m hoping and keeping my fingers crossed that this phone will perform better than the Flare, despite the lower tag. Still, with a relatively cheap price tag, Amber will surely net a couple of budget-stricken peeps.

  1. Dun sa mga nagtatanong about the camera ang masasabi kolang ay wag na kayo masyadong magexpect na maganda ito. “Okay” lang siya kung FB at instagram photos lang naman pero other than that, for the price of 3k for a dual core 4.2.2 JB Android, there are compromises :D .

Rather poor photos din in low-light conditions di kayo isasalba ng flash nito (At least meron). Best opt for 8mp smarphones kung gusto nyo ng mas magandang shots.

  2. Just bought this very good for its price almost the same performance as the CM Life (Antutu score is almost 11k). Also checked in antutu ang nakalagay sa camera is 5mp not 3.15 so maybe 5mp talaga itong sa CM Amber though don’t expect it to perform beyond its price :D. Overall build quality of Amber feels better than CM life, mas mukhang matibay sya at mas maganda tignan, also the bezels dont feel that big in this unit (unlike CM life nga) kaya ito ang kinuha ko despite the 100mhz clock speed difference.

    1. @ayesha

No problems naman same as any other Android smartphones (has wifi and data plan connection.) Have not experienced any problems with them so far.

        1. Spec wise, almost the same lang yang tatlong yan, the Amber having slight less spec that the latter two (1.2Ghz rather than 1.3). Real life use however you will barely notice that and its safe to assume that both 3 smartphones will perform nearly identical to each other.

Kaya magkakatalo tayo dyan sa aesthetics and which has more build quality in your preference. Advice kolang if you are going to buy compare those 3 phones and choose which you liked best. I did just that and originally I opted for the life but changed my mind and went for Amber instead ( walang gem ung branch na binilhan ko xD )

    1. hindi po..kung gusto nio ng magandang quality ng cam, mg branded n lang kau mam or yung mga 8mp..

  3. just bought one yesterday wag kau maniwala na mabgal to dahil s dual core n 1.2 at 512 ram, believe me its enough for the phone plus mali 400 pa gpu nito gaya ng life kaya no lags ang games such as dead trigger and stuff worth the money ganda pa ng design manipis lang

  4. 512MB RAM, Camera w/o AutoFocus, Removable Battery. mura na to, buy na, punta lang sa pinakamalapit na store.
