Cherry Mobile has another addition in its Fusion line of tablets. For Php3,699, the Cherry Mobile Fusion Storm can be had, along with its specs geared just enough for casual gaming: 1.2GHz dual core mobile CPU, 512MB of RAM, and Android Jelly Bean.

Unlike the cheaper Fusion Breeze, the Cherry Mobile Fusion Storm has better hardware to accommodate a more demanding set of Android apps and games. Though still equipped with only 512MB system memory, the tablet’s dual core processor should deliver better performance. Storage is also larger this time at 8GB, with external expansion available up to 32GB. Front camera comes with a measly 0.3-megapixel resolution, although a main camera is now present at the back of the device.

  • Android 4.2 Jelly Bean
  • 7.85-inch capacitive multi-touch screen
  • 1.2GHz dual core processor
  • 512MB RAM
  • 8GB internal storage
  • microSD support up to 32GB
  • 5-megapixel main camera
  • VGA front camera
  • Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n
  • 3000mAh battery

Only the Wi-Fi antenna has been specified as one of the Cherry Mobile Fusion Storm’s connectivity features. Bluetooth, 3G/4G SIM slot, and GPS features remain unknown. Battery capacity is 3000mAh, which should let the slate last for a couple of hours on games and video playback.

The device is expected to become available starting next week in Cherry Mobile concept stores, kiosks, and accredited dealers.

  1. form factor is good (for me)
the 512 RAM is a huge let down
But still manageable ( im using a CM Flare 1.0, still good)

  2. Looks good on the 3D rendering. Even though it’s not IPS, I still hope that it has good brightness and doesn’t wash out horribly. this could be my 1st tab. Or the Superior Voyager.
