A Cherry Mobile Omega HD 2.0 was unofficially outed in the Cherry Mobile Omega HD Facebook group a few minutes ago. So what’s in for the third generation Omega smartphone? Check out more details after the break.
Earlier this morning, we saw the supposed Cherry Mobile Flare 2.0, Blaze 2.0, and Thunder 2.0 thanks to Cherry Mobile Thailand. But now, another CM android phone was found and a person named Apol Marie Duque was able to buy a unit for Php8,999. At first the members didn’t believed her but she posted the box and receipt of her purchase to justify her claim of a Cherry Mobile Omega HD successor.

In response to the unofficial unveiling of the Cherry Mobile Omega HD 2.0, many users has expressed their disappointment as they just purchased the Omega HD and in just a few days it was ‘outdated’ already. Meanwhile, other lurkers expressed delight as they almost bought one too and they accidentally saved themselves.

The launch of the Cherry Mobile Omega HD 2.0 is pretty much expected as the Skyfire 2.0 is not that much of an enemy on the MyPhone A919i Duo which is considered as the best local android phone at the moment. With the Cherry Mobile Omega HD 2.0, it looks like the competition is now even up and we’re now about to see a true rivalry of affordable two top-notch smartphones.

last question po, pano po pahabain ang battery life nya, or is there any android phone na fit din sa OHD 2.0 na mas malaki ang mAh nya…yon lang po kasi problema ko po dito, yong performance,, the best,,!!!!!

I think you can install a battery saver app, madami available sa Play Store. tas install mo din Clean Master or any app that will boost the memory and kill any unwanted apps that still runs in the background.
Settings ko sa OHD 2.0 ko naka brightest yung screen light and i make sure na talagang nagagamit ko ang pagka HD nya, kaya i don’t really save the battery life, i have the Clean Master app and periodically boost the memory, nag lalast naman sakin yung battery sa isang buong 9 hour shift ko sa work nang isang full charge lang.
Give or take 11-hours kasama na ang paglaro ko ng HD games at paglisten ko sa music and pag text, pag net, pag call etc. before yung next charge ko.
Given na kasi yan sa kahit anong smartphones mapa iPhone or Samsung Galaxy or any windows or android device ang battery life. Nasa tamang pag gamit lang po yan mga sir at ma’am.
charge mo sya ng nka off hangang m full charge. tpos opne mo sya ng 30mins wlang galawan hnd k mag ttxt, email, games, FB khit ano. Then after ng 30mins charge nyo po uli hangang ma full charge.

almost 6 months na po naming gamit ng wife ko yung tig isa naming OHD 2.0 na white and wala naman kaming naeexperience na kahit anong problema.
It really depends on how you handle the phone. you may have an S4 or iPhone 5S pero di ka naman maalaga sa gamit eh talagang masisira at masisira yan.
Imagine the risk we took when we purchased 2 units ng OHD 2.0 sa Sta. Lucia Mall last May 31, 2013.
Talagang nagcanvass kami ng latest local phones during that time (OHD 2.0, MyPhone a919i, O+ 8.15 and so on…) and it all boils down sa Omega HD 2.0, and i’m telling you, it is REALLY REALLY WORTH the time and effort we spend canvassing for phones, and especially the phone is worth every peso.

ung ROM po 4gig pro may mga nka preset n dun n mga apps then ung RAM nya is 1gig po. pro ung SD nya pwede po yan up to 64gig :)

4gb po ang ROM nya tas 1gb yung RAM.
Under Settings > Storage:
Internal Storage = Total 0.98
SD Card (External/Removable) = it depends on your SD Card’s memory
Phone Storage = Total 1.62gb
I guess yung PHONE STORAGE ay yung internal SD Card ng phone where you can transfer and save music, photos, videos, files etc. from your Removable SD Card or Computer. For example wala kang Micro SD Card, pag nag download ka ng music or nag transfer ng picture using bluetooth or you used the camera app and nagpicture ka, sa PHONE STORAGE sya mase-save.
Tas yung INTERNAL STORAGE eh jan po naiinstall yung apps and some of the app’s data. Wherein you can move the apps from this storage to your Micro SD Card.
I think yung 4gb ROM ay nahati sa INTERNAL STORAGE and PHONE STORAGE and everything that came pre-installed sa OHD 2.0
So what i think is, if your default write disk is your SD Card, the application will be installed in your SD Card but there are still some data of the app that will be saved in the INTERNAL STORAGE kaya kung mapapansin nyo pag nag install kayo ng app, unti unting nababawasan ang free space mo sa INTERNAL STORAGE tas pag naubos na yun at nagtry ka mag install ng malaki laking app it will give you a Not Enough Memory error kahit malaki pa available nyo sa SD Card.

yes.. so far so good OHD ko. and browsing wise? you won’t regret it.. ambilis. sa bahay 1 mbps lng net namin kahit sa wifi ko yung signal is 1 bar lng, no problem pa dn mpa youtube man or watching your fave animes online. :)

Dude nagkaron ka na ba ever ng iphone? Nabasa lng iPhone 32gb ko dati sa boracay, kya nag palit ako ng cherry mobile mablis na sira kaagad ng 7 months of using not to mention palaging overheat ang battery sa cherry mobile at ang bigat ng cherry mobile ang knight is only 115grams while cherry mobile weights 175grams, dude u can change anything even downgrade iOS with jail breaking or rooting sa androids, so far the only thing that compares closes to iPhone I had b4 was knight do you even know tiny umbrella for sshing downgrade or upgrading roms , basically iPhone and iOS are the best the reason I bought star is bcoz its dual sim

Try nyo po i-install Clean Master. May option po yun na pwede i-move yung mga apps na movable from internal storage to sd card.
paano po pa maglagay ng contact photo sa contact? omega hd cp q..
You just need to make sure na sa Phone Memory nakasave yung contacts at hindi sa SIM card para makapag add ka ng additional info sa contacts mo like email, notes, photos, etc.
Go to Contacts
Select a contact to open
Tas makikita mo yung mukhang stickman na ulo na naka smile just tap on it (you don’t even need to open it in edit mode)
Then it will ask you to either take a picture or choose in gallery
Basta make sure na sa phone memory nakasave yung contacts mo.

HTC Desire S user ako pero anlaking pagsisi ko dahil ang mahal ng bili ko… kaya i’d rather go to higher specs than the BRAND.
Parang preferred ko kasi ang phone na to, pero FLASHaholic kasi ako sa CUSTOM ROMs.. ang gusto ko lang malaman is kung meron bang mga developer’s to(internationally)? pwede ba dito ang MIUI or cyanogenmod?
syempre wala namang mag-cucustom rom nito internationally dahil local lang po to not unless maglabas din si cherry mobile sa abroad pwede namang ikaw na lang ang gumawa ng sarili mong custom rom medyo madugo nga lng gumawa ng custom rom hehehe

im also having trouble choosing between hd 2.0 or blaze 2.0 especially because of the price drop, the two are identically priced. both mostly have the same specs but i guess it all boils down to personal preference on screen size, but i am leaning more on hd 2.0 but as i’ve said, i have no idea if it will have a big difference in terms of speed between having hspa+ ready connection or only the 3g ready of the HD 2.0. I’m asking this because i will use often my phone as a wifi hotspot for my laptop at school.

first thing to remember sir, kung saan ka mas compatible, sa 5’7″ ba or 5″. based on sa mga ibang reviews na nabasa ko, mas prefered nila OHD 2.0 aside from 5″ sya at pwedeng gamitin ng isang kamay, mas malinaw ang camera ng OHD compare sa blaze 2.0. same specs, same price na sila, nagkatalo lang sa home button. parang ang pangit tingnan ng blaze 2.0 kasi dalawa ang home button at magkatabi pa (kumbaga, redundant). mejo fail dun sa part na un, :)

Sir just sharing my experience with OHD 2.0. we’ve been using it six months na po since nabili namin ni misis ang OHD 2.0 namin.
Sir ok po OHD 2.0 sa HSPA+. Mabilis. tas makikita mo sa signal ng SIM na gamit mo yung H+ pag connected ka.
Meron kaming SMART pocket WiFi ng misis ko yung black, tas pag empty na batt ng pocket WiFi, eh either yung OHD 2.0 nya or yung OHD 2.0 ko ang ginagamit namin as WiFi hotspot using the Smart SIM . mejo mabilis nga lang mag drain ng battery ng phone pag ginamit mo as WiFi hotspot.
Basically sir, ok naman yung OHD 2.0 as WiFi hotspot, dependable naman sya. i think magkakatalo talo lang sa Network connection, kasi usually either peak hours or congested ang network ang reason kung bakit bumabagal ang connection.

I’m MyPhone A919i user. I compared the specs of A919i and HD 2.0, camera lang sila nagkatalo, Myphone A919i has 8MP rear cam and 2mp from, while this HD2 has 12mp rear and 2mp front. But to tell you, Myphone after sales customer service is superb, lalo na sa support when it comes to personalizing and maximizing the capability of your phone.
isa pang kakaiba sa A919i obvious n china no bro? ang lapad kc at ang corny ng design parang mangkok… :p
