We just spotted a supposed follow up line-up to the successful handsets of Cherry Mobile here in the Philippines. In their counterpart on another country, the three units were already listed along with their specifications. Check out more details after the jump.

The most notable smartphone is obviously the Cherry Mobile Flare 2.0 as the first generation Flare did sell well. According to the website, the Flare 2.0 will be powered by a 1.2GHz quad-core processor though there’s no indication of what processor is it. But given that the original Flare cam with a Qualcomm, it’s more than likely that it will be a Qualcomm too. Besides, the Cherry Mobile Flame 2.0 and Cherry Mobile Skyfire 2.0 sport that same processor.

The Flare 2.0 will also retain its 4-inches WVGA display which is good as not all people like to have huge smartphones. It will also have 1GB of RAM and run Android 4.1 Jelly Bean.

Cherry Mobile Flare 2.0 Specs

  • Android 4.1 Jelly Bean
  • 4-inch WVGA (480×800) Display
  • 1.2GHz quad-core processor
  • 1GB RAM
  • 4GB ROM
  • microSD up to 32GB
  • 5-megapixel main camera
  • VGA front camera
  • WiFi, HSDPA
  • Dual-SIM
  • Dimensions: 124 x 63 x 9.9mm
  • 1500mAh Li-Ion battery

Another android phone found is the Cherry Mobile Blaze 2.0. The original Cherry Mobile Blaze looks a bit different than this design though we very much welcome the on screen buttons present in the second generation device. However, it’ll look much better if they didn’t include the physical home button.

The screen size is beefed up to 5.7-inch HD IPS display which is a large jump from 4.7-inches of its predecessor. It will also have a quad-core CPU and 1GB RAM but the Cherry Mobile Blaze 2.0 will run Android 4.2 out of the box. Based on the technical specs, it looks like this will be one of their high-end devices this coming Q2-Q3 of 2013.

Cherry Mobile Blaze 2.0 Specs

  • Android 4.2 Jelly Bean
  • 5.7-inch HD (1280×720) IPS Display

Lasly, we have the Cherry Mobile Thunder 2.0, the successor of the not-so-popular CM Thunder. Well, just like the other two, we’re seeing the same configuration. Among these smartphones, I think this one is the most conservative.

There’s the quad-core processor plus the Android 4.2 Jelly Bean out of the box but it only has a limited 512MB RAM. Yeah, that’s a bummer. In this age, we expect that it would at least have a GB but if the price is right we won’t complain at all. It’ll also have a slightly bigger 5-inch FWVGA display and better 2100mAh battery to keep the handset up and running.

Now, the question is “When will this come to the Philippines?”. For now, we can’t answer that but one thing’s for sure – they will arrive sooner or later. And even though this information is really convincing as it’s official, we still have to wait for further announcement and clarification.

With regards to their price, there’s no indication yet so that’ll remain as a mystery. But knowing Cherry Mobile, they always put up very competitive pricing so I think we don’t need to worry about that.

What do you guys think? Will you pick up any of these three once they’re out? Let us know in the comments!

Thanks for the tip, JM!

  1. Uy lumabas/lalabas na ang Flare 2, pero ang Flare ko 2 months mahigit na hindi pa lumalabas sa Service Center…. haist!..

  2. Just bought this phablet here in SM North Annex. The truth about this Phablet is that the rear camera is 8mp only and the front camera is 2mp. It’s not Asahi Glass Scratch Resistant, but an ordinary glass only. The real Antutu benchmark for this phone is ranging from 12,200 to 12,600 only. Marami din nagbebenta ng 8,999 to 9,299 sa sulit. Parang nanghinayang ako sa pera ko nung ginamit ko na.

    1. bro..narito ka ??…he he he..sige spread the word to all pinoys hungry to buy new phone he he he
