We just got some details on the upcoming quad-core smartphone of Cherry Mobile, the Cherry Mobile Skyfire 2.0. It’s been teased a couple of times already and what all we know by then is that it will come with a quad-core processor. Interested in the new offering from CM? Check out the specs after the break.

According to Cherry Angel, one of the trusted source when it comes to everything related to Cherry Mobile, the Cherry Mobile Skyfire 2.0 will land this coming weekend. And along with that announcement, they also mentioned some key specs of the said device.

Cherry Mobile Skyfire 2.0 will allegedly come with a 5-inch IPS Scratch resistant display, 1GB of RAM, and 4GB of internal storage. When it comes to cameras, it squares off with the MyPhone A919i‘s 8-megapixel rear camera and 2-megapixel front facing camera. However, it’s still not known if any of the two are BSI. The battery is also the same at 2000mAh.

As for the processor, Cherry Mobile posted the photo above earlier today that confirms that it will have a 1.2GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon processor like the Cherry Mobile Flame 2.0. As expected, it will come with Android 4.1 Jelly Bean on board.

The most surprising part here is the price. Cherry Mobile Skyfire 2.0 will have a Php7,999 price tag which is the same as Cherry Mobile Omega HD. Well, we’ll have to wait for the official announcement until we confirm anything. What do you guys think?
