Looks like Cherry Mobile is at it again. After announcing the Razor just a week ago, the local phone brand has posted a teaser for an entirely new device on their Facebook page. Check out the snapshot of the Cherry Mobile Superion TV 2 above.
While it’s a new device to market, we already have a good idea of what the specs will be thanks to Cherry Mobile’s Thailand website. It’s pretty much the same as the original Superion TV, save for the improved dual core processor. Otherwise, it’s almost the same device.
You’re getting a 7 inch WVGA screen, the aforementioned 1GHz dual core processor, 512Mb of RAM and 4Gb of internal storage. Being from the Superion line, the Superion TV 2 comes with a complete set of connectivity options ranging from Bluetooth, WiFi to 3G. There’s also a USB port, although it’s not clear if it’s a micro USB port or a full-sized one. Naturally, it features a built in TV tuner due to its namesake.
No word yet on pricing but knowing Cherry Mobile, the Superion TV 2 should be priced pretty affordably. The WVGA screen is a big drawback though, but if you’re looking for a low cost Android tablet that does it all, this might be for you. Are you considering getting the Cherry Mobile Superion TV 2? How much do you think it will retail for?
