Cherry Mobile Thunder Specs, Price, Features – 4.5-inch FWVGA Display, Dual-core 1GHz processor for only Php4,999

Cherry Mobile Thunder has been officially announced by Cherry Mobile through their official Facebook fanpage yesterday. At first glance on the photo above, you would most likely notice that this is a cheaper deal for those who can’t afford a Flame or for those who find the Flare small. The Cherry Mobile Thunder is one of the three leaked CM android phones in a set of flyers which we recently posted about a couple of days ago. The others are Cherry Mobile Burst and Cherry Mobile Titan TV, respectively.

Cherry Mobile Thunder is a mid-range device (local standards) that resembles a lot of an earlier CM android phone – Cherry Mobile Flame. Since Php6,299 is quite hefty for most Pinoys, they decided to be generous to cater the lower-end market with an affordable but very capable handset. The specifications aren’t mind blowing, but that’s probably the best we can get for something that’s already cheap for its set of features.

The specs are quite standard, as we’ve mentioned before, most Pinoy android phones today have almost identical configurations. It has a Mediatek 6577 1GHz dual-core processor, 512MB RAM, and 4GB internal memory. There is a 5-megapixel camera at the back, and a VGA (TBC) front-facing camera. The full specifications of the Cherry Mobile Thunder is yet to be revealed but it’ll be out later today so we’ll just update this post for any alterations (UPDATE: Confirmed).
