Cherry Mobile is really on a roll right now. After the release of the Cherry Mobile Titan and Cherry Mobile Flare, they now have another ultra-budget android phone named as Cherry Mobile W300. As the name suggests, this one is just like the W100 and it only have several differences.
The details of this new device are still not officially announced by Cherry Mobile but our writer, JM Balicano, stumbled upon this device on a mall which the first set of units were delivered. Needless to say, this is the exclusive first look of this budget android phone. At first glance, it somehow resembles the CM Flare but it can be easily distinguished because of the Gingerbread OS.
For only Php2,999, the Cherry Mobile W300 still brings a good set of specs on the table. It is powered by a 1GHz single core processor, 512MB of RAM, and runs on Android 2.3 Gingerbread. It’s not really bad if you’ll ask me, especially with this kind of price. And I hate to say it but this move will definitely piss some Candy TV owners. Although if you prefer the mobile TV, the Candy TV is the one that suits you.

The reason that helped Cherry Mobile to lower the price of the Cherry Mobile W300 is the lack of 3G. Pretty dissappointing? No, not really. A lot of android users there don’t need 3G so that drawback is relative to the user. Also, the 4-inch screen will give you a little more room to work with than that of the CM W100. Oh, the W300 doesn’t have an IPS display unlike the W100 so it will have limited viewing angles when compared to the latter.
