If you think the Cube OnRev Astro is just too basic for you but still you’re shopping on a tight budget, you might want to check out Cherry Mobile’s other budget alternatives — the new Cubix Cube OnRev and OnRev Max.
Part of their Lazada-exclusive line, the Cubix Cube OnRev and OnRev Max offer good-value specs for not a lot of money. The two devices, together with the Astro, will hopefully help you jumpstart in the smartphone world.
The Cherry Mobile Cubix Cube OnRev has a 5-inch display, a comfortable screen size to work with. It is then powered by a 1.3GHz quad-core processor, a limiting 512MB RAM, and 4GB of
expandable storage.
Camera wise, the device is packed with 2-megapixel and 5-megapixel shooters in front and back — which is the same setup we saw on the OnRev Astro.

Now, on to the Cherry Mobile Cubix Cube OnRev Max. As the term “Max” implies, this one would sport a large capacity battery. And with its 3,000mAh, it sure does. Considering the mediocre hardware that it needs to power, it’s probably enough to last you for a day or two.
The Cube OnRev Max brags a 6-inch HD screen — the biggest, and sharpest screen on the OnRev family. Inside it still has a 1.3GHz quad-core processor, only this time the RAM and storage were upgraded to 1GB and 16GB, respectively. The device also gets to have a fingerprint scanner at the back for security purposes.
Moreover, the camera department also received a special treatment. There’s an 8-megapixel sensor on the front and a 13-megapixel camera on the back. And lastly, the Cube OnRev runs on a more recent Android 7.0 Nougat.
