There’s a new smartphone brand in China called FOSSiBOT and one of their first release, the F101, wants to garner some attention. To give you an idea, the company also makes portable power stations, solar panels and generator kits, and other related accessories.
The FOSSiBOT F101 is a rugged smartphone packed with a couple of features for the adventurous. It has a lot of certifications to handle almost anything: IP68 and IP69 ratings and MIL-STD-810G, making it safe from water, dust, and drops.
It also has an enormous speaker on the back with 3.5W power. It’s located where the cameras should be. It comes with a large 36mm diameter with an 11.5CC sound cavity. It can achieve up to 123dB of loudness.
Another big feature is the gigantic 10,600mAh Li-Po battery. It can achieve up to 44 days of standby time, which was made possible by its lackluster 5.45-inch HD+ screen and Helio A22 quad-core processor.
As for the rest of the specs, it ships with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of expandable storage. Unsurprisingly, it’s really thick at 20.35mm, which is almost three phones stacked together. It also weighs 250g, which is almost twice the regular smartphone.
There’s also an 8-megapixel camera on the front, and a triple-shooter on the back that consists of a 24-megapixel main shooter, 5-megapixel, and 0.3-megapixels.
The FOSSiBOT F101 is currently listed at AliExpress with an early-bird price of Php7,612.76. SRP is Php15,226.06.
