After four months of waiting, the Google Nexus S and Galaxy Nexus will now receive their official Android 4.0.4 Ice Cream Sandwichupgrade. It took Google a lot of time before finalizing this upgrade because ICS has a different framework than the earlier versions Gingerbread and Froyo.

Google Nexus S was marketed to have the latest Android system before any other phone would do and Google politely responds to their promise. Other phone manufacturers will soon follow the release with their very own customized ICS. Also, we should take note that only a few handsets, usually those who are ranked sa high-end, will get the update but don’t worry . After all, there were still a bunch of talented developers out there that will make old phones run Ice Cream Sandwich.

Users of the phones listed above will now receive their over the air (OTA) updates.

For those who already made the update to their device, how was it?
