Google launched a couple of firsts in its annual I/O event. One of them is their very first tablet, the new Google Pixel Tablet.
The new Google Pixel Tablet comes with a large 10.95-inch LCD display with a decent 2560 x 1600 pixel resolution and can work with USI 2.0 styluses.
It has four speakers in a stereo setup, but if it’s not enough, you can use the included charging speaker dock that attaches magnetically, has a 43.5mm full-range speaker, and can charge the device at 15W speeds.
This special dock is meant to turn the tablet into a smart display so you can easily use Google Assistant voice commands, see recipes while cooking, play music in the background, and more.
The said battery has a 27Wh capacity, which Google claims can last for up to 23 hours of video streaming. Sadly, it doesn’t come with a charger, hence the included speaker dock.
Like the Pixel Fold and the Pixel 7 series, this tablet is powered by Google’s Tensor G2 chipset with 8GB of RAM, an option between 128GB and 256GB of storage, and a Titan M2 security chip.
It has 8-megapixel cameras in the front and back, which should be enough for video calls and selfies.
Obviously, it will ship with the latest Android 13 operating system with 5 years of security patches.
The new Google Pixel Tablet has a price of USD499 (~Php27,800) for the 8GB/128GB and USD599 (~Php33,300) for the 8GB/256GB. The Charging Speaker Dock is already included but you can also get the Pixel Tablet Case with a kickstand for USD79 (~Php4,400).
It is now up for pre-order in the US, the UK, Canada, France, Germany, Denmark, Sweden, Norway, Japan, Australia, and the Netherlands. No word yet if it’s also coming to the Philippines.
