HONOR has announced its third foldable smartphone for 2023. Meet the new HONOR Magic VS2.
The Magic VS2 follows the launch of the Magic V2 and Magic V Purse, making it HONOR’s third foldable device in just four months. Although the Magic VS2 does not bring significant changes compared to its predecessors, it weighs slightly less at 229 grams and marginally thicker at 10.7mm. The foldable is powered by the older 4nm 3.2GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 chipset, a step-down from the newer Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 used in the V2.
In terms of other specifications, the HONOR Magic VS2 shares similarities with its HONOR’s other foldable. It features a 6.43-inch Full HD+ 120Hz display and a 7.92-inch 120Hz LTPO OLED expanded screen. It also supports Dolby Vision, HDR10+, and 100% DCI-P3.
The main camera boasts a 50-megapixel lens, accompanied by a 20-megapixel telephoto lens. However, its ultrawide lens has a lower 12-megapixel resolution. In the front, there’s a 16-megapixel shooter for selfies.
Other notable features include DTS:X and enhanced IMAX support, fingerprint scanner, and 3x microphone. The device also includes a 5,000mAh battery, which supports 66W fast charging.
The HONOR Magic VS2 is priced lower than the Magic V2, starting at ¥6,999 (approximately Php54,000) for the 12GB RAM and 256GB storage variant. In comparison, the Magic V2 with 16GB RAM and 256GB storage starts at ¥8,999 (around Php70,000). A 16GB RAM and 512GB storage model is also available.
