The HONOR Play 40C made a subtle entrance in China carrying entry-level specs much like its predecessor.
With the HONOR Play 40C, you’re getting a Qualcomm Snapdragon 480 Plus processor, mated to a generous 6GB of RAM and 128GB of expandable storage. There’s a 5,200mAh battery, which is slightly bigger than what most phones have, but only charges via the 10W adapter.

On the front, we have the usual 6.56-inch LCD display but only with an HD+ pixel resolution. It does have a 90Hz refresh rate and 90Hz touch sampling for better responsiveness, especially in games.
For the cameras, we only have a 5-megapixel sensor on the front and a single 13-megapixel shooter on the back with an LED flash. It ships with an Android 13-based on HONOR‘s MagicOS 7.1 user interface.

The HONOR Play 40C, in its sole 6GB/128GB configuration, has a price of CNY899 (~Php6,800) in China. No word yet if it’s coming to the global market like the Philippines.
