HUAWEI introduced the new MatePad 11.5 S in Malaysia after it was released in Dubai, and we expect it will arrive in the Philippines next.
The HUAWEI MatePad 11.5 S PaperMatte Edition, as the name suggests, has an anti-glare paper-like surface made possible by HUAWEI’s nanoscale etching technology. This makes writing and doodling with the 3rd-gen HUAWEI M-Pencil feel like you’re using an actual paper.

It uses a pretty feature-packed display panel. It’s a large 11.5-inch screen with a high 2.8K resolution, a 3:2 aspect ratio, and a 30Hz-144Hz adaptive refresh rate.
To take advantage of the paper-like experience, HUAWEI has developed software features like the GoPaint app, and HUAWEI Notes, and has included WPS Office. HUAWEI also used NearLink wireless technology for better pairing with the M-Pencil and the Smart Magnetic Keyboard.

HUAWEI didn’t confirm the chip they used on the tablet, but they did say it has 8GB of RAM and 256GB of storage. It also runs on HarmonyOS 4.2, an 8-megapixel selfie camera, a 13-megapixel rear shooter, an 8,800mAh battery with 22.5W charging, dual-band WiFi, Bluetooth 5.2, and a USB-C port.
The device is also incredibly thin at only 6.2mm and only weighs 510g. It comes in Violet, Silver Front, and Space Grey. The release date of the HUAWEI MatePad 11.5 S PaperMatte in the Philippines is yet to be known.
