HUAWEI’s latest high-end tablet has made its way to the Philippines. Meet the 2024 refresh of the HUAWEI MatePad Pro 12.2.
The highlight feature of the HUAWEI MatePad Pro 12.2 2024 is its Tandem OLED PaperMatte display that has advanced anti-reflective tech, an impressive 2,000 nits of peak brightness, 2,000,000:1 contrast ratio, high 144Hz refresh rate, HDR Vivid, Delta E <1 color accuracy, and a sharp 2.8K resolution.
This PaperMatte tech also works well with the 3rd-gen HUAWEI M-Pencil stylus with NearLink technology. It has over 10,000 levels of pressure sensing and ultra-low latency. HUAWEI claims it feels like you’re writing on an actual paper.
HUAWEI also highlights the device’s gold silk-like design, an ultra-slim build that’s only 5.5mm, and a light weight of 508g.
Under the hood, it is powered by the company’s own Kirin T91 octa-core processor, which is WiFi-only, paired with 12GB of RAM and 512GB of storage.
It then has a large 10,100mAh battery. The best part is, that it is equipped with a whopping 100W charger, which can fully charge that enormous battery for under an hour.
Being a premium tablet, it has dual cameras on the back: a 13-megapixel main shooter and an 8-megapixel ultra-wide. A 16-megapixel selfie camera is on the front for self-portraits and video calls.
It also has a fingerprint scanner for quick logins. Still no Android, though. But, as per the website, the variant coming to the Philippines runs on HarmonyOS 4.2 instead of EMUI.
The HUAWEI MatePad Pro 12.2 2024 12GB/512GB/WiFi-only, the only model available locally, has a price of Php59,999 in the Philippines.
