Before any fanfare, Infinix Philippines reveals the price of its latest entry-level offering, the Hot 12 Play, by listing it on their official store in Lazada.
Before showing you the price, let’s take a look at what the Infinix Hot 12 Play offers — a device that was first released in India back in May.
The Hot 12 Play, like its cousins, tries to impress by having a pretty packed display. It is enormous at 6.82-inches, fast with its 90Hz refresh rate, and responsive thanks to the 180Hz touch sampling. But since it is still a sub-Php5,000 smartphone, it only has an HD+ display.
Having a low-resolution screen is actually a good idea for this device. This means that the display doesn’t have to work as much (compared to FHD), especially since it is only using a 1.7GHz UNISOC T610 octa-core processor.
The chipset is paired with an acceptable 4GB of RAM and 64GB of storage. If you want more space, you can always throw in a microSD card for storage expansion.
Thanks to its large size, Infinix was able to fit a substantial 6,000mAh battery that charges via USB Type-C. Sadly, it only comes with a 10W adapter. It also runs on the last gen’s Android 11 operating system.
As for the cameras, the Hot 12 Play was able to have a dual-shooter setup on the back. The main one uses a decent 13-megapixel sensor while the other is an AI lens. You might never notice the latter, but it’s there, at least for aesthetic purposes.
A punch-hole on the screen holds the 8-megapixel selfie camera.
Now, for the price. The Infinix Hot 12 Play is listed with an SRP of Php5,999 on the brand’s Shopee and Lazada stores. It is currently discounted to Php5,699 for a limited time. All four colors are available: Black, Green, Blue, and Gold.
