Infinix has introduced a new big-battery, big-display smartphone: the Hot 30 Play.
The new Infinix Hot 30 Play boasts a 6,000mAh battery, which is one of the biggest capacities you can get for the price. As per the company, it will allow you to play games for 18 hours straight or stream videos for 25 hours — not that you should, but it’s there.
But in case you still drop to 5% of power and can’t plug the 18W charger just yet, there’s the Ultra Power Saving Mode that can still do up to 24 hours of standby time or 2 hours of calls in case of emergencies.
Of course, it also gets a large display. It is a 6.82-inch IPS panel with a fast 90Hz refresh rate, but only with an HD+ pixel resolution.
Under the hood, it has an entry-level MediaTek Helio G37 octa-core processor, 4GB of RAM, and virtual RAM expansion of up to 8GB that the company claims will let you seamlessly switch between 11 different apps.
The chip is attached to a double-layer graphite cooling system for better heat dissipation. Depending on the market, buyers will have an option between 64GB or 128GB of expandable storage.
For better gaming performance, the device comes with software features like AI Performance Boost, AVSYNC Vivid Display, and Pace Orientation Enhancement.
It also has a better network connection that uses a combination of WiFi and data for 25% lower latency with 10% less power draw.
As for the camera, there’s a 16-megapixel main shooter on the back joined by an AI lens. An 8-megapixel selfie camera sits on the front.
For software, it ships with Android 13 with Infinix’s XOS 12.6 interface on top.
The new Infinix Hot 30 Play is now available in Nigeria for a price of NGN80,000 (~Php9,600). No word yet if Infinix Philippines will add this to their lineup.
