List-OPPO-smartphones-Hyper-Boost-update

Several days ago, OPPO officially revealed its Hyper Boost technology that aims to enhance smartphone performance. Today, the company has revealed the list of devices that will be getting the software update.

OPPO’s Hyper Boost smartphone accelerator is the brand’s answer to Huawei’s GPU Turbo technology. However, unlike its competitor, it encompasses a broader scope as it also covers system and other third-party applications — not just games.

Based on reports, the new OPPO K1 is one of the first-ever smartphones to launch with the said technology built-in out of the box. But as expected, it’s coming to more OPPO devices very soon.

First off the list is the OPPO Find X, the company’s current flagship smartphone with the innovative pop-up cameras. Next, OPPO’s premium midrange R-series and entry-level A-series are scheduled to get the update next month. Check out the complete list of supported smartphones below.

OPPO Hyper Boost update schedule

DATEMODEL

November 2018OPPO R11, R11 Plus
OPPO R11s, R11s Plus

December 2018OPPO R17, R9s
OPPO R15, R15 Pro
OPPO A5, A79, A73

If you’re wondering why the OPPO F-series smartphones are not on the list, it’s because this upgrade timeline came from OPPO China. The OPPO F9 and OPPO F7 are heavy drivers of the company’s growth, so we’re sure at least of them (if not both) will be getting the upgrade. We expect OPPO to release an updated list covering the international market very soon.

For a start, OPPO Hyper Boost supports 11 games but the list should grow longer in the coming months as development picks up. In addition, compatible apps like PUBG Mobile, Honor of Kings, Taobao, and WeChat will get up to 31.9% faster app-loading times.

Probably the most interesting feature of the OPPO Hyper Boost is its polymorphic network technology. To improve internet connectivity and reduce latency, it can optimize the network traffic by sharing it between the Wi-Fi and cellular connections.

We’ll update this post as soon as we get more information about Hyper Boost-supported smartphones. To learn more about how it works, check out our article here.
