Micromax, a smartphone brand from India, has introduced a new low-end smartphone — the Micromax Canvas 2 Plus.
This new device is built from entry-level materials. There’s the 5.7-inch HD+ screen with the now-standard 18:9 aspect ratio.
For some reason, the company didn’t mention the exact chipset they used for the Micromax Canvas 2 Plus. However, they did say that it runs on a 1.3GHz quad-core processor — which we can safely speculate that it is from MediaTek.
But despite the seemingly underwhelming processor, it does come with a generous 3GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage. It also has a large 4000mAh battery — which is more than enough to last you for at least a day or two, considering that it only needs to power entry-level hardware.
On the downside, it only comes with Android 7.0 Nougat which is really outdated by today’s standards with Android P already in the pipeline.

What’s the point of reviewing this since it is only available in India? Besides, who cares about Micromax when Chinese branded phones have already taken over India?
