LG’s flagship smartphones are considered as some of the most underrated high-end devices in the last couple of years. However, they are facing a completely opposite scenario in their midrange line.
Now, that might change as it appears that they are preparing an Android One smartphone. With Android One, we can expect that Google will work closely with LG for this smartphone. This means that it will have better performance despite the entry-level hardware.
A really efficient software would really come in handy as the device is only rumored to sport a Qualcomm Snapdragon 450 octa-core processor, a chipset that we only see in low-end smartphones today.

But other than the chipset, the LG Android One smartphone will come with other interesting features. There’s the 5.5-inch display with a sharp FHD+ resolution and an 18:9 aspect ratio.

It will also come with a decent 3,000mAh battery that can be charged via the USB Type-C port. Probably the most interesting part is it will be equipped with HiFi E9218P DAC for better audio output. Something that we see in LG’s flagship devices like the V30.
However, the report suggests that this is actually going to be an Android One model of the LG Q7 of last year and will most likely be a T-Mobile exclusive on the US.
LG hasn’t revealed any official launch date yet so we’ll just have to wait and see.
