Despite a few hiccups (not being able to install apps to SD, laggy performance), the MyPhone Rio has been met with quite a lot of success. Now, the pioneer local phone brand is looking to capitalize on their momentum by following up with the MyPhone Rio Lite.
The MyPhone Rio Lite sports a 4.7 inch IPS touchscreen display, 1.3GHz quad core processor, 512MB RAM and 4GB ROM. It also comes with a 5mp primary camera, 2mp front camera, and Android 4.2 out of the box. Not bad for a phone that will only retail for Php3,999.
The obvious downside is the limited RAM, considering you can get the higher end Rio for just Php1k more. Still, it’s not a bad compromise and Php1k is a sizable chunk of change that can be saved if you’re more into regular texting, calling and browsing rather than heavy gaming.
