Nothing has introduced the first device under its budget-friendly CMF brand. It’s called the Nothing CMF Phone 1 and it comes with a cool feature: a removable back panel and attachments.
The main highlight of the Nothing CMF Phone 1 is the unique rear panel. You only need to remove four screws using the included, tiny screwdriver.
Once removed, you can swap it with a different case if you get tired of the colorway or if the old one is damaged.
Having such a level of hardware access should also make repairs easier. The panels are made of metallic material and are available in a bunch of colors.
There’s also a mounting button on the back that lets you attach accessories like a kickstand, lanyard, and card case.
Sadly, due to the removable rear panel, it only managed to get an IPX2 certification, which only promises to handle water drips.
The rest of the hardware is quite interesting, too. It is powered by a MediaTek Dimensity 7300 processor, 8GB of RAM, and 256GB of internal storage.
Keeping the lights on is a 5,000mAh battery with a decent 33W charging. It runs on Android 14-based Noting OS 2.6 and will receive 3 years of Android upgrades and 4 years of security patches.
On the front, we have a 6.67-inch FHD+ Super AMOLED display with a high 120Hz refresh rate.
A 16-megapixel selfie camera is on the front, while on the back, we have a 50-megapixel main shooter joined by a 2-megapixel depth sensor.
The Nothing CMF Phone 1 8GB/256GB has a price of Php17,490. Like the rest of Nothing’s products, it’s available in the Philippines via Digital Walker. Pricing for the 8GB/128GB base model shall be revealed soon, so stay tuned for that.
