Remember when phablets were a thing, before smartphones with 6.5-inch displays became the norm? Well, nubia is trying to bring that era back with the nubia Neo 5 Max.
The nubia Neo 5 Max packs a massive 7.5-inch display—one of the largest screens you can get on a smartphone before it starts crossing into tablet territory. It has a sharp 1.5k resolution, SGS-certified Hardware Level eye care systems, and is paired with stereo speakers with a 300% volume booster.
This big smartphone is paired with a large 7,100mAh dual-cell battery, which nubia claims lasts for up to 25.7 hours of playing music, 14.1 hours of watching videos, 15.4 hours of GPS navigation, and 7.6 hours of gaming.
It is paired with a 45W adapter that nubia claims can provide a 100% charge in 70 minutes. Bypass charging is also supported.
Powering the Neo 5 Max is a MediaTek Dimensity 7100 processor, with 8GB of RAM, 256GB of storage, and a cooling system that uses a VC and 3D stamped design with a large 30,000mm2 cooling area.
Made for gaming, the Neo Triggers 5.0 gives you added controls in games. It has a 990Hz touch sampling rate and <4.7ms latency. nubia also boasts its 360-degree antenna for improved signal, especially in gaming.
What’s more, it has a 16-megapixel selfie camera, 50-megapixel main shooter, and a 2-megapixel depth sensor. You also get an RGB-lit “Max” and “Eagle Eye” logo on the back that oddly looks like the prominent ASUS ROG logo.
The device is also IP64 dust- and splash-resistant and ships with Android 16-based MyOS 16. No word yet as to how long they will provide software updates.
You can get the nubia Neo 5 Max in the Philippines through Shopee, Lazada, and TikTok Shop. It has an SRP of Php25,999, but you can get it for as low as Php19,999 through numerous introductory offers.
