OnePlus and OPPO, sister companies, recently announced that they are merging and sharing a lot of resources. The fruit of that new business strategy is seen on the OnePlus Nord CE 2 5G.
The OnePlus Nord CE 2 5G has that iconic seamless camera bump design we saw on the OPPO Find X3. It also uses the SuperVOOC branding for its 65W fast charger.

Other than that, the Nord CE 2 5G is a toned-down version of the Nord 2 that came out last year. The “Core Edition” is powered by a MediaTek Dimensity 900 5G octa-core processor and a simmered-down 64-megapixel main camera.
The display looks similar, though. This one has a 6.43-inch AMOLED panel with a smooth 90Hz refresh rate. It goes without saying that it also has an under-display fingerprint scanner. Albeit, it still ships with Android 11-based OxygenOS but expect the latest Android 12 update to arrive soon.

Initially available in India starting February 22, the OnePlus Nord CE 2 5G has a starting price of INR23,999 (around Php16,400) for the 6GB/128GB model. Release details in markets like the Philippines are yet to be known.
