MediaTek’s highly-used Dimensity 700 processor lives on with the release of new devices like the OPPO A58.

As a lot of you already know, the MediaTek Dimensity 700 CPU is one of the first entry-level 5G-powered mobile chipsets in the world and continues to power 5G-enabled phones up to this day. One of the many handsets under its belt is the new OPPO A58.

The said chipset is joined by either 6GB or 8GB of RAM and 128GB or 256GB of expandable storage.

Everything about this device is something to be expected. There’s the apt 6.56-inch LCD screen with only a 90Hz refresh rate.

As per usual, it comes with a waterdrop notch for the 8-megapixel selfie camera. On the back, we have a design similar to the OPPO A17K and A17, with two rings holding the 50-megapixel main camera, a 2-megapixel depth sensor, and an LED flash.

It then features a 5,000mAh battery that is charged by a 33W adapter. It is also IP54 dust and water-resistant, and ships with an Android 12-based ColorOS 12.1. It then comes in three colors with two vibrant ones: Purple and Blue.

The OPPO A58 8GB/256GB is now up for pre-order in China for a price of CNY1,699 (around Php13,600) and will be available in China. The SRP for the other models is yet to be announced as well as their release in markets like the Philippines.
